Random Tuesday....It's Spring Now for sure!!!

Balmy yesterday!  It was wonderful!  Almost got to 80 degrees in town. (I live about 35 miles east of Albuquerque)  Only had a gentle breeze until about 6PM; then the winds picked up a bit.  All and all a wonderful spring day.  By golly, I think we got it!!

I have been watching the Barn Owl Cam for about a week now and WOW!!  Amazing!!  She had three of four chicks...I can't really tell yet.  There was four for sure but now, lately, I have only seen three??  So in the back of my mind, I think..."did they eat the fourth one?"  Ewwwwwwwwwwww!!  Anyway, it is something you just have to see.  I warn you though; it is addictive.

My friend Cheri of Cher's Hair Studios and I went to town yesterday and had a wonderful time.  Cheri also sells lipsticks and eye shadows that last all day on her website!  Give her a visit!  We pampered ourselves and had manicures and pedicures done.  Then we went to a new hamburger joint, Five Guys, and sampled one of their burgers and some fries.  OMG!!  They were fabulous!  And huge and we ordered small burgers.  And added bonus!  She bought lunch!!  Thank you Cheri!!

I am not going to have the opportunity to see the girls go to their proms...sigh!!  But that is okay!  Dr. John and I are going to the 2010 Annual Awards Gala at Sandia Casino!!  Woohoo!  I get to play dress up!  And maybe play a few slot machines and lose my money!!  LOL!  Isn't that why people go to these places...to lose.  I mean, that is what happens.  I remember talking to one guy who said he won $20,000.!  Then he told us how much he spent to get that amount...$60,000.!!!!  And that is a win???  I think not!  I will stick to a few quarters thank you very much!  It should be fun and I will take my camera with me...so I should be able to post some pics!!

The studio is no reorganized so that I can get the large ( 4' x 8') canvas in there.  I will be working on two of these...but just one at a time.  Logistics will be tricky; but I will figure it out as I go.  I am currently waiting for some paper pulp to arrive.  Then I have to build a 4'x8' frame with cheese cloth on the bottom side.  This will be for forming the large paper sheets.  I am used to working on paper making inside...but here I don't have the room or a drain for the water.  So I will be working outside.  This will be interesting!  I will take pics along the way so that I can share them with you.  I am really stoked about this project.

Did I tell you there is an interior designer inside the building the lawyers are in?  Well.....isn't that cool?   I am going to put together some pics of my work and give her a visit real soon.  When opportunity knocks...go for it.  And remember?  My "word" for the year is "TRY"!  So I am!

I think this is enough randomness for you...it is for me!!  Remember to visit Keely of "UnMom" and see more random musings from around blogland.

Have a magical and blessed day!
Hugging you
SueAnn

  1. I just started watching Barn Owl Cam, after seeing a special on CBS (the only channel I get lol) I'm loving it. Nature can be so entertaining and beautiful beyond believe!

By the way, I woke up thinking of you today. Actually it started last night. I was thinking that a Witchy Baby with angel wings would be a great summer present to myself....

    Many hugs my friend ;-)

  6. Gorgeous day here as well.

That owl rocks! The wife and I went to a Crane festival in SW Colo years ago. Saw an owl with a 5 foot wingspan take off out of a tree. Magical.

  7. Precious Owlings - I wonder where the 4th went as well... maybe he is hiding?

You are a beautiful soul, and I must have one of your babies one day. Beyond words... Amazing!

    Warmest, Vanessa

  8. Not going to even look into the barn owl thing if it's that addictive. I also would have to play detective to find out what happened to the 4th owl.

Haven't been to Five Guys yet but have heard wonderful things.

Is it just my screen? The widgets on the side block the post:(

  12. I heard about the Barn Owl Box cam thing but hadn't seen it until just now. I can't tell what's going on, there's one own bowing up and down as if feeding her babies or something - I don't know. And it sounds like slurping. Or an air compressor.

Anyway, hope you have a faboo day!

  16. Gotta check out that barn owl thing...sounds fascinating, but I hope the fourth is just hiding...somewhere...where could it hide?...I don't want to think about it.

Our weather has been HOT lately, but beautiful. Everything is all green and full of life.

  20. Yay for manis and pedis and for pampering. And thanks for the link to Cher's Hair Studio. Looking forward to a visit.

But mostly, thanks for the Edward Scissorhands music. So dreamy.

    Love you SueAnn!

PS: My sis won and lost a bit of cash at the Roulette table onboard our cruiseliner. She could have won big if she had put her chips on Black 4, because it hit on the first spin. Only problem? I forgot to tell her that Black 4 was in my head. Whoopsie. It would have paid 34 times her bet and many free drinks.
