Random Tuesday....the ugly truth!!!

Ladies and gentlemen!!  We have finally landed into September and another Random Tuesday!!!  Woohoo!!  But I really don't know what is thrilling about it?  I waited for so long for summer...and now she has/is slipping away!  What a bummer!!  Sigh!

Sunrise September

Lots of projects were are trying to finish up.  One big one is painting our back patio fence!  It was pretty gnarly due to the sun and wind and rain!!

See!?  Gnarly!!

Awwww!   Better!!

Well, I thought I would share the ugly truth with you.  It isn't pretty but I do believe in sharing works in progress.  This may shock some people so if you have a weak stomach, then turn away now.  I have been working on the baby dolls and I thought I would share a few of the pics of the painting process with you.  Here we go!!!

Skin tone painted..no details yet!

Details have been added...shading and creases!

Shhh!  Sleeping!!  Long process!!

Our tomatoes have finally shown up!  But will they ripen?  Well, our morning temps have been in the 40's, so we will be surprised if they do!

The one plant that is doing well in our garden is the mint!!  I had to grow mint.  For my Mojitos!!!!  Ha!

Regular mint and Peppermint!!

Pumpkin world is progressing nicely.  We have found two more pumpkins and the Pumpkin King is growing by leaps and bounds.  I am so thrilled!!

Pumpkin King!

Pumpkin Queen???

And baby...prince?

After we get the fence painted, we have some flowers we purchased to plant!  Found some daisy's that are amazing in color.

After all this work, we decided to treat ourselves and go to a new restaurant that just opened up here in the mountains.  It is called Pete's!!

Home of the Half Breed is not a racial slur.  It means you can get a burrito here with red and green chili!  Called Christmas!  You can also get a mean steak...Hueravos Rancheros!!  Yum!  I got the combination plate.  Chili Relanos, Cheese Enchilada and a Chicken Taco!  I could only eat one bite of each.  Ha!  Oh well!  Lunch for Dr. John tomorrow!!

Oh!  Have to throw in an amazing spider web we discovered while painting our patio fence!

Well, this is about as Random as I can get!!  Don't forget to stop over at The Un Mom's and visit with Keely and all the other participants in this Randomness!  Join up!

Sunset...amazing!!

It has been a pleasure visiting with all of you.  Have a blessed and magical day!!

Hugging you
SueAnn

  2. LOVE your sunrise and sunset pics! Gorgeous! :)

The baby doll parts didn't gross me out - but if the hubby wouldn't have left for work already I would have grossed him out by showing him. Since I do custom doll repaints on Barbies and restore old composition dolls, I usually have doll parts hanging out in my unorganized craft room. He gets freaked out when I put a Barbie head on my finger, or stick a needle in her eyes to give her eyelashes. ;)

That restaurant sounds cool - and yummy! :)

    Your pumpkins look awesome! :)

  9. has it been a cold summer in your parts? We've had a bizarre really hot one this year, and I would give just about anything for this to happen next summer! The last 2 were awful! cold and rainy, yuck!
I got a kick out of those undone baby dolls of yours, especially the arms on sticks, lol! You better hope a nosy neighbor doesn't see them, lol!

  10. OK, the baby arms and legs on the sticks is a little creepy!

You may not get tomatoes but you certainly got pumpkins.
