Here we go again....randomly!!!

Tuesday already??!!?? What happened to Saturday? Every feel like that? The world is rushing forward and all you want to do is pause; if only for one day?! Wouldn't that be wonderful?

Received some photos from my granddaughters...they crack me up. They are such camera hogs. But if I looked like they do I would be too!! Here are some of the pics.
The top pic is the cheer squad...Emma (the blond) is our resident cheerleader!

Here are some places I would love to see in person. I have been to the Grand Canyon and it is breath-taking!! I have also been to Alaska and I was blown away by the scenery. The Glaciers were my favorite thing to photograph and the sounds that they made!!! It was so awesome! They creak and groan and every once in awhile...explode and drop into the ocean a part of themselves. Pretty amazing!!

We took the car in for repairs on Monday and they gave me a rental car. Seriously! A Chevy Tahoe...and what a tank it is. I don't like it at all! You need a ladder to get into it...thankfully it has a running board that you can step on to get in. Sniff! I want my car back. I am definitely spoiled. The estimate came in at $1000.00 which is a lot less that what we thought it would be. It should be done by Wednesday. Fingers are crossed!

I entered one of my babies into a Reborn competition at the Whispered Moments Reborn Guild and we will see how that goes. Here she is!!

I found some old black and white photos I took a million years ago. This one is of my old doll collection...well a few of them that is. I thought the photo is so cool!! Here it is!
My sweet husband, John, just brought me in my coffee. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!! I can wake up now! It is freshly ground French Roast by Starbucks. Yes! I am a coffee snob. I only like freshly ground coffee now. It is so much better than ground and in the can coffee. Richer and more full bodied. Love it!

Well this is about as Random as I can get today! Hope you had fun traveling down the randomness lane with me?

Hope you all have a magical and blessed day!!!

Surprise!!

I received the most wonderful surprise in the mail. It actually made me cry. From my wonderful friend, from Seahorse Ranch, Charlotte!!! She said she had a little something for me and that alone made me feel so special!!
But when I opened this package....I was blown away! I had no idea that her "little something" would just amaze me!

Isn't it just the most beautiful banner you have ever seen???? I sure think so! I just can't thank her enough.
For those of you who don't know....TRY is my New Years' Resolution Word!!! And she did this just for me??!!
We have only met on the internet but I feel like I have known her for such a long time. She is the sweetest and dearest person!
Thank you dear Charlotte...you have made my month!!
I just had to share with all of you!! I am seriously blown away!!
Have a magical and blessed day!

Random Tuesday arrived so quickly!!

This will be truly random too!! LOL!!

I was driving last night on the freeway and it was dark (6PM)! Amazing how dark it is at that time. A Semi-Truck pulled along side of me and all of a sudden the car in front of me swerved almost hitting the truck! While I was watching that...I didn't notice why he had swerved. There was an iron table (some metal) sitting, legs up, in the middle of my lane!!!! I tried to swerve but really didn't have much room to do so. I ended up striking this table with my right front side bumper and tire. "Holy Shit", I said! And so did my friend! I thought for sure I would have a flat but I keep going and no flat!! I was shocked. I got to my Bead Society Meeting and forgot to look at the car. Go figure!!!

Bead Society Meeting was a lot of fun and we had over 55 women there. Oops...one guy too! LOL!! After the meeting, several ladies heard we ( my friend Cheri and I ) got tattoos and they were immensely curious. We both said, "We turned 60 this year and thought what the heck....we have been wanting one for a long time...so we did it!!" They all laughed then of course had to see them. We proudly showed off our skin art!! What impressed them the most though was the eyeliner tattoos we had gotten as well. They loved that and wanted to know where they could do the same. It is cool! I look like I am wearing make up when I get up in the morning. I love it!!

My mind was full of the meeting and driving home we were planning our next escapade. So again, I didn't look at the car. Drove Cheri home and came up my driveway and noticed John had left all the lights on for me. So I was pleased and entered into my studio (that is how I get into the house) and locked the doors. Again, no thought of the iron table incident!! Am I a space cadet or what???!!!

This morning, I caught up on my email and then John fixed me breakfast. As I was eating, it occurred to me that I had hit that iron table. I told John and he said, "You did what???? And you are just now telling me??" What could I say but yes! That I had totally spaced it. So he put on his coat and took a flashlight (it was 6 AM) to go check the car. Two minutes later, he comes in and says call the insurance company! Huh? Why? He says the lower running light has been torn completely off the car and some of the bumper!! Oops! Guess I should have tried to look? And then he says that we don't know what kind of damage it did under the car...so we need an estimator to give it a thorough check out! Oh dear!!! We have a $500.00 deductible. Ouch!! John figures at least $2000.00 to fix this car!!! Darn! What's a girl to do?? I couldn't miss it...there was nowhere for me to go!

I couldn't finish my breakfast! And he made me scrambled eggs and toast too! Just lost my appetite. Do you blame me?

Talked to my mom this morning and she has been shoveling her driveway from all the snow. She lives in Ohio (Lancaster) and to add to this, she is 82 years young!! The neighbor was supposed to keep her driveway shoveled. But his snowblower quit working that day. So out she goes...into the cold and precedes to shovel her entire driveway!! What am I to do with her!?!

Well, I think that is enough randomness for today! My appetite is still gone and I need to call the insurance company. I am not looking forward to that!!

You all have a magical and blessed day!! Watch out for road hazards!!!!!

Newest Award!!

Dani Tietz shared her award with all of us and I thought I would take her up on it. She posed some interesting questions. You can do the same as well!! Just grab the award button and answer the questions on your blog and leave a link here so I and others can see your answers. How fun is that?? Click on her name and you will be able to see her answers as well!!

Who was your favorite teacher in school? Mr. Pond without a doubt. He was a history teacher; but not mine. LOL! I had him in study hall and he was the coolest teacher around. I used to get into mischief all the time and he would pull me aside and just talk to me. Calmly and sincerely. He never talked down to me and always encouraged me to be the best person I could be. He helped me grow up and quit being such a trouble-maker. LOL! I loved Mr. Pond.

Do you have any hidden talents? Well, I can sing operas! Yup! I sure can. I took singing lessons for several years and my teacher, Mrs. Green, was an opera singer. She was a wonderful teacher and helped me so much. I really enjoyed those lessons! And the singing too. She made us perform on stage! That was scary; but I did it and it really boosted my confidence. I used to be terrified of doing anything on stage. Doesn't bother me now.

What do you consider your greatest achievement? Well I have two actually! Having my son, Lee Sr. He was and always will be the light of my life. I am so proud of him! He is 41 years old and now the father of five fabulous kids. They too light up my life. I am so blessed!
Also, the weight loss of 115 pounds is by far another of my greatest achievements. I am proud of myself! I did it!! And I have more to go! Woohoo!! Go body, go!!

Do you believe there are aliens or life on other planets? Well, I don't really know. I agree with Dani. It is one big universe and if we are the only ones...WOW...are we special!! But it wouldn't bother me or shake my faith if we did discover other living beings on another planet. Our God is a big God and He can handle it

If you could go on a road trip with anyone (dead or alive), who would it be and where would you go? There are six people I would travel with and all at the same time. I would travel with my husband, John and my five grandkids, Lisa, Cassie, Emma, Georgia and Lee, Jr. I would travel to South Carolina so they could meet their uncle Gary for the first time and his family. Then I would go to Ohio so they could me their Great Grandmother Ilene (my mom) and my brother, their Uncle Mark and his family. Onward we would go to Indiana to meet up with their Uncle Jack and his family. All three are my brothers and they have never met them. And of course they need to meet my mom for sure!! This would be a trip of a lifetime!!

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? LOL!! I wanted to be a rock star! I used to practice with my hair brush in front of my full length mirror, singing!!! Of course with my 45RPM records! I grew up in the 60's and the Beatles were just becoming big big big!! I was madly in love with Paul McCartney and daydreamed all the time of becoming his "girl". And we would sing together forever!! Well, he is still singing but I never did get to meet him or hear him in person. I hope to change that one in the future. But alas, I won't be a rock star!! So sad.

Do you have any phobias? Sure do! Heights! Deathly afraid of heights! I can climb a ladder okay because it has sides I can hold onto...but give me a step stool and I feel nauseous! We went to the Grand Canyon and as I neared the edge, I got dizzy and felt like I was going to fall over it. Scary!! Felt the same way at Niagara Falls! So horseback riding is out for me and that makes me sad, I love horses and my best friend has two...but I just can't get up on them. Sigh!!

Take these questions and post your links and answers here so we can all enjoy them. It will be great fun and we get to know each other a little better. That is my favorite part. Have fun with it.

Have a wonderful and magical day. Create and be filled!!
