Newest baby !!!

Here is my newest and I am in love with her. I have named her Marisol! Isn't she just the most beautiful baby. She is available and would be a great gift for Valentine's Day! Yes?


Today is also a special day in our household!! My best friend and love of my life has his birthday today! woohoo!!! So far he has gotten lots of presents and tonight we go out to dinner. Then tomorrow night, we go out with friends and celebrate again! When you get to be our age...well...we celebrate all month long! The never ending birthday!!

Two awards!! WooHoo!!

I have received two awards!! Wow! I feel so honored!

First award from Smitten Image...the Post of the Week award. Every week she posts several blogs as being worthy of a visit by all of us on blog land!! And it is always worth the trip. I have met some amazing bloggers visiting the links she has laid out for us. Thank you Hilary, so much!! And I always appreciate your visits here!!



The next award is The Fabulous Sugar Doll Award! Thank you Heather from Butterflygirlms Rambles On. With this award you list ten things about yourself. I guess this means I am a sweetheart. LOL!! So here we go:

1. I love taking naps!
2. If I could, I would do without my bra!! Sigh!
3. I love sleeping on my Sleep Comfort Bed!! Awwwwwwwwwwwwww!
4. My honey still gives me goose bumps and it has been 36 years!! woohoo
5. I collect Gene dolls and my granddaughters wait for their chance to take this collection over.
6. I have said this before but I will say it again. I have lost 120 lbs. Snap!!
7. I hate cleaning house so I have a housekeeper twice a month. Love that for sure!
8. When I create I get glue and paint all over myself. Just can't help it!!
9. My home is one big collage/mixed media piece!
10. I get up every morning at 3AM to catch up on my blog reading and writing.

Now I am supposed to pick ten people...but I don't know who to chose. You all deserve this award...so all of you take this and do the ten things about yourself. Inquiring minds need to know.

And this is a momentous time for me. I just passed my 100th post!! I will be hosting a giveaway. Just haven't decided what yet. I will! And it will be fabulous! So keep in touch!

Is it really Tuesday!

I forgot! I was thinking today was Monday!! Oh boy!! I am losing days already and it is the beginning of the week........the month even. Can you believe it?

Got my car back! Woohoo! And she looks terrific! Can't even tell she has been damaged. I am so glad. Now I can leave the house when I want too!

I have been working on that mirror, as you know. And I ran out of round glass globs! Oh dear!
That is what they call them too...globs. So I have to wait until they come. I sure hope they ship quickly.

Today I go to the lawyers office and measure it up for a tapestry that they want in their conference room. I have only met with this lawyer once. But he has seen my work and asked for me to do this. So I am a little nervous but excited too. I hope it is a huge wall. The reason they want fabric is to help deaden the sound in the room. Guess it sounds hollow. And if they like my work, they have to like color. So this will be fun!

I ordered my self an Embellishing machine from Janome! I got a note today that it has been shipped. This is something I have been wanting for about a year. Barbara at Joggles.com got one last year and was singing it's praises. Then this year, Gail Schmidt got one too, so I had to order it. Really! The machine uses felting needles and kind of "weaves" several layers of different materials together. If you know how a felting needle works...it is the same. But this machine looks like a sewing machine but no bobbin or thread. You can use five needles at a time for larger pieces or one needle. Can't wait to get my hands on this. I think it will come in handy for this tapestry I will be working on.

Got my hair done last week. I always get it colored about once every five weeks. So I was due! Can't let those grays escape. I usually have it dyed a deep red/burgundy on the top and dark, dark brown on the sides and back. This time, and who knows why, some blond streaks showed up?? Huh? Blond?? Well she does bleach the top a little to open up the cuticles for the red dye but.......!!?! Anyway, I kind of like it.

Well it is time for me to go and get into town. Can't be late for my meeting!

What is exciting about this? The whole piece will change dramatically when I grout it!! Yes it will! So this is an adventure to me as well!! I love that it is so colorful.
