Altered Images!

Just thought I would share some altered images I have been working on. These are digitally altered!  I used stitching and layering as well as color balance and texture tools. 

I love playing digitally!

The image of the female is from Gail Schmidt of Mind Wide Open Fame.  (Shabby Cottage...link on side bar)  She has a great shop with lots of goodies for mixed media artist!

Silent Saturday ~ Part Thirty-Six!!!

Several months ago, my middle brother came out to visit!!  I didn't get a chance to see him when I went to Ohio and I miss him.  So I thought today would be the perfect day to share these photos of his visit here.  New Mexico, seen through his eyes!

Random Tuesday ~~ Flying back home today!

How cute is that?  Those cheerleaders were just adorable and they were so enthusiastic!!  Cheered constantly!!  Ha!! 

Went to my youngest brothers' son football game.  Go Wildcats!!  So much fun!!

The Wildcats played their hearts out and ended up losing by two points!  Well fought game!  Jared, my brothers' son played well.  His position is Center!!

I just love them all to pieces!!  After the game, we went to a Mexican restaurant for dinner.

Ohio shouldn't do Mexican!  Ha!  I ordered my fav...chimi's....and oh boy!!  Sad...very sad.  And they had never heard of green chili!!  Blasphemy!!  We all had a great time though...I should have ordered fajitas!!

Mom and I did more shopping and had a blast!  Now I am wondering if I will be able to shut my suitcase??  As I sit here now...I think it will be tricky!  Ha!  Mom kept wanting to add stuff.  Sheesh mom...I only brought one bag!!!

Dr. John is wandering aimlessly around the house, waiting for my return!!  My neighbor offered to pick me up today and he said, "No Way!!!"   Isn't he just too cute.  I think he misses me!!

I fly out at 8:15 AM EST.  My brother, Mark has spent the night at mom's so he could take me at 5AM to the airport in Columbus! He lives about 50 minutes west of my mom.  Hence the spending the night.  He could catch some extra ZZ's this way!  It is about a 45 minute trip to the airport from my moms.  What a great brother!  So we got to catch up on all our news and gossip and chow down on pizza!  Yummy!!!!

Well, it is 2:30 AM and I am just about ready to go!  I must admit, I will be glad to get home!  I have to hit the ground running when I get there as I have three doll shows in November!!  Yikes!  More babies to make!!

Silent Saturday on Sunday!!

Good morning and greetings from Ohio!!  It has been beautiful weather and so good to see my family!  Here are some pics from Mom's yard and the reunion dinner we had!!

We have been walking and shopping and shopping and walking!!  Ha!  Spending lots of time with mom and that has been a real treat!!  Missing Dr. John and all of you.  Will be back home on Tuesday afternoon!!

Random Tuesday....Wild and wooley!!!

Right now I am on an airplane...heading to Ohio to see my mom!!  So back to your regularly scheduled posting which is totally random for sure!!

The huge Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta is going on right now and it is always fabulous.  If you are ever planning on visiting...the first two weeks in October is the best time.  I couldn't get there this year because I am in that plane...remember??  Ha!  So Dr. John took the pics for me near the balloon field.

So no excuses now...come on down and visit!!  I would love to take you here and would love to meet you for sure!!


Went to Gallup for my youngest granddaughters' birthday (she is 15 now) and we all went out to dinner.  Here are some pics of the family getting ready to chow down.  Note:  None of them wanted their pictures taken.  Sigh!!

On the way home, there was a huge thunderstorm all around us as we drove.  So I took some pics.  The skies were awesome.  And there was even a double rainbow!!  So cool!  Just had to share!

Aren't those skies something else??  The skies out here are endlessly fascinating and always so beautiful!

Before we went home, we stopped by my Daughter-in-laws school where she teaches first grade and visited her classroom.  She was so proud of all the work she had done on it.  And the pics of her kids were so adorable.  Here are the pics from that visit!!
