Random Tuesday ~ It's white..it's cold..it's windy!!!

And I don't like it...not one little bit!!!  Snow?  Bah Hum Bug!!  Pumpkin portraits...

They don't seem to mind the snow!  Ha!!

My friend Cheri cleared out a wall space in her studio so that I could hang some paintings.  So cool!!
Thank you Cheri!!  I don't know if I ever told you; but, Cheri is a hair stylist and has her own shop in her home.  So lots of people will see these paintings!  Woot!!

Pretty cool, huh?

Went shopping with Cheri on Friday...we had a blast!!  Went to Santiago's for lunch...she said they had the best hamburgers!  She was right!  Yummy!  And I had my first Raspberry Italian Soda.  O. M. Gee!!  TDF!!

Oh I was shopping for a holiday wreath for my front door and some outfits for my middle granddaughter,
Emma, for her birthday!  Found some really cool clothes at Kohl's.  And on sale!  Woot!  Woot!  I will share pics when she tries them on...I see a fashion show coming up!  And as for the wreath..found one and will show pics next week.  Don't tell Suldog...but I have started my Christmas decorations...the fireplace mantle and the front door!  Shhhhh!!!  Pics next week!

Well, had to go back to the Heart Doctor...Dr. Frankis!  Some more leg swelling and shortness of breath...quite bothersome.  The diagnosis is now confirmed...congestive heart failure and hypertension.  Sigh!  I am just getting back on my feet from the surgeries this year and now this!!  I am not a happy camper and it really depressed me!  This is for old people!!  I definitely don't think of myself as old.....so I have to figure out what to do with this.  I had to double up on my meds and cut my fluid intake down to 50 ozs.  Sheesh!  Anywho....this will not beat me!!  I will overcome and do all I need to do to mitigate the symptoms.  Treadmill and diet here I come!

My cell phone is driving me crazy.  It keeps changing it's sound effects for texts received and emails!  Ha!!  I have a Droid 4 and I love it but this is whacky!!  I set the sounds I want to hear and about two days later...it does it's own thing. Weird!!

Going to my son's house in Gallup, NM for Thanksgiving!  Bringing some of the fixins with us...ie., the turkey, pumpkin pies, pecan pie, whipped cream, rolls and some appetizers!  So if we get snowed in here, we have it made...we have most of the dinner with us.  Ha!!  It will be fun to have the family all together for this wonderful holiday.  Time to catch up on all the drama!!  With four teenage girls...always drama!!  Ha!!

I have already started my Christmas shopping!  I really started it this past summer...but I am getting serious now.  With five grandkids with mile long lists!!!!!  Have to start early and shop the sales.  But so far so good and under budget!  Dr. John will like to hear this for sure!

Check out the sunrise...

Takes your breath away for sure!!

It has been so cold!!  Brrrrrr!!!!  Would you believe 20 degrees F.?  And winds averaging 50 MPH!!  Yikes!!  We even started a fire in our fireplace just to get warmed up.  We have 12 foot ceilings and super large windows in our living room so even turning the furnace up doesn't warm this space up like we want..so the fire helps for sure!!  Plus, it is so romantic!!

Cheri's birthday is coming up soon and I got her some cool things!  Can't tell you what though...she reads the blog!  Ha!  And her mom, Louise, lives with her and her birthday is coming up as well.  She will be 99 years young!  She is amazing!  Still motivates on her own power...no canes for her!  And sharp as a tack!  A beautiful lady indeed.

I received in the mail a wonderful surprise.  A beautiful art piece done by my good friend, Charlotte Smothers of the Seahorse Ranch Blog!  Such a blessing and a wonderful friend!  Here is a pic....

She does many gorgeous ATC's and this is a round one!  Clever and fabulous...thank you Charlotte!!  I love it!!  Stop by and tell her how gorgeous it is!!!

Getting nails and toes done today...ahhhhh!!  So relaxing!  My dilemma is what design to get on the nails??
And what colors to use.  Do I do oranges? Browns?  Decisions, decisions!  I will take pics of the finished nails next week.

I am still in shock...Thanksgiving is next week!!??

Make sure you stop by Stacy's at Stacy Uncorked and see what the other Randomizers are up too!!  Always fun and a good read!

Have a magical and blessed day!
Hugging you
SueAnn

Phew! I get breathless just reading your post!

Sorry about the bad news on the health front, maybe you need to let up a little? And what’s that about a diet? Doesn’t look like it what with hamburgers and a Thanksgiving feast.

Christmas shopping and decorating? Already? It’s only November and not even Advent yet. You won’t catch me doing anything for a few weeks yet. I start on the 1st Sunday in Advent, but won’t have any decorations except advent wreaths and candles until Christmas week. Mind you, I’ll be eating spiced biscuits and Stollen before then.

How nice of your friend to hang your art in her shop.

I love the snowy pumpkins! No snow here, yet... may take till February. (I hope!)

Your heart symptoms should disappear easily with the right amount of exercise and diet. Don't worry!

You really have been busy! Your photos are breathtaking as usual and thank you for the glimpse of your paintings. I'm glad you're getting more exposure in your friend's place.
And congestive heart failure?! No wonder you're depressed-- do they expect the treadmill and diet to reverse it?
Sending hugs across the seas SueAnn! xx

Where to start? I didn't know you were suffering such health challenges...'cause you are certainly not old enough for this stuff!? Your "this won't get the best of me" attitude is inspiring as is your joy in the everyday. Well, hon, I am sending you an extra strong HUG today. PS I woke up this morning deciding to xmas decorate my library...just 1 little room for me to enjoy. once again you're ahead of me. :)

you are so busy I don't know where to start! Here's wishing you health and fun through the holidays, I always look forward to your pictures of things you've done and decorated, so you know I'm dying to see what you're doign for Christmas. I like when the house is half autumnal and half Christmas for Thanksgiving, so I am in full support of the mantle being done!

I'm so glad I moved from Upstate NY to South Carolina. I can actually still go outside with a tee on!

I agree with friko, I'm breathless reading everything there is on your post today. Love the art hanging, hate the thought of snow. Thanksgiving next week, I hope you're kidding.
More importantly, take care of that heart, I hope you get things under control soon.

Hmmmmm. Sorry to hear about the diagnosis, but you'll have my prayers. That and a cup of coffee will buy you a dollar (or something like that.) In any case, prayer being said as soon as this post, Sue Ann.
