Random Tuesday....Excuse the mess!

We are working on my blog and giving it a new look!  So far...it is not working.  Ha!!!  But we will get it straightened out soon....I hope!  (fingers crossed)

Do you ever do those books on tape?  So cool!  Makes a trip seem so short.  But it can also drive you crazy!  We started one on our trip to see the grandkids and that was about one month ago.  Ha!  We still haven't finished it.  We have talked about just driving around so we could hear the end.  But, saints be praised...we are going to Las Cruces this week so we will be able to finally finish it!!!!!

Dr. John is conducting interviews at the University there (NMSU).  For a new professor in the Geotechnical Engineering Department...well an Associate position is open...so he is part of the search committee.  So I will tag along and veg!!!  Read and play on my computer is about all that I will do.  Maybe I can catch up on my blog reading!!  I have been way behind!  Sorry about that!

NMSU campus

The weather yesterday was really awful!  High, high winds....60 to 70 MPH!!!  Yikes!  And overcast and hail and rain and, and, and....just lousy!!!!!!  The wind was so loud, you could hardly hear yourself think.  And of course, the change in weather brought on another migraine!  Sheesh!  I am still a bit bleary-eyed with it.

Las Cruces, New Mexico

This is wear we will be moving too!  In about five years!  Woot!  It is warmer and they hardly get any snow.  I am all for that!!

I have a Kewpie doll collection!  Just thought I would throw this in.  One of them is staring at me as I type!!

And all of mine are nakey!!  No outfits!  No props!  Just plain ole Kewpie dolls.  Aren't you glad I shared this bit of news?  Well it is Random Tuesday folks!!

Glad you all enjoyed my Pumpkin King pics.  I am so proud of those pumpkins.  And I have a Prince still yet to be harvested!!!!!!  He is a real beauty too!  No I didn't carve him...but I just had to throw this pic in.  Scary!

Well, I have been hard at work putting  hair on babies heads'.  I am all caught up now!  Now all I have to do is put in some eyelashes and put them together.  TaDa!!  I will be all ready for the dolls shows.  One is November 6th (which is also my sons' birthday..Woot!) and the other is November 14th!  Back to back!  I am tired just thinking about it!!

Since it is Halloween....I just had to post these random heads.  Sorry Joanna!!

Droid X!!  That is my new phone!  Would you believe I have to take a class to know how to use it?  Ha!  It has so many  newfangled features; I need some learnin'!  But it is a very cool phone.  I think I told you that while I was in Ohio, visiting my family, I was able to connect to the internet with this phone as the hotspot!!  So cool!!   I also put on the Kindle app from Amazon.  So now I can read with it too!  Very cool!  But it does eat up the battery life.  I have to charge it twice a day if I use it to read a book?  Yikes!!

Took my granddaughter Cassie and her roommate Brittany out to dinner on Sunday.  Cassie is attending the University of New Mexico which puts her in Albuquerque!  30 minutes from me!!!  Woot!  We went to Macaroni Grill and I had the grilled shrimp.  She got the Mushroom ravioli!  Yum!  We had a great time catching up!  She is majoring in art...go figure!!  Ha!!

Mesa Hall at UNM!

Well, I was going to post a pic of the Macaroni Grill; but Blogger is acting up!!  Sigh!

I think this is enough Randomness from me today!  Make sure and check out The Un Mom and see what Keely is up too.  She took the day off...called in sick...so she has a guest Randomer!  Very cool!

You all have a magical and blessed day!
Hugging you
SueAnn

I like the changes you've made so far...I so understand trying to make changes and it not going like you planned. :)

I think the wind and weather you've been experiencing is hitting us now...been raining and getting colder...super windy today and talking about the white stuff falling today and tomorrow...who knows if it actually will though...lol...the weather can be pretty unpredictable here.

I've always wanted to listen to a book on tape but it doesn't seem to ever work for me to drive in a vehicle in silence...seems someone has to always be talking or singing. :)

I enjoyed you pictures...we are going to cut out pumpkins later today...at least I hope to. :)

How nice to have your granddaughter so close and going for art...taking after grandma?

Hope you have a terrific Tuesday! XX

It is so random that I don't know where to start! I did enjoy reading about your random things though. That Kwepie doll looks cold without clothes!

I would love to know how you get the babies hair on.

Enjoy your randomness.
Oh, and the blog is coming on well.

I listen to books on cd fromt he library all the time at work.. when the students and instructors are upstairs until 2pm each day. I don't like being downstairs by my lonesome at all. Can you image that I need 'people' around. lol

Anyway, I do the say thing when I haven't finished a book or series... try to find excuses to drive and listen. :-)

Love the pictures that you always share with us! Some are just beautiful and others are very interesting!!

Enjoy your roadtrips!!
Big Hug,
Coreen

I listen to audio books all the time! So far this year, I've listened to 31 books so far this year.

I download the books from my local library to my computer. Then I transferred the books to my Blackberry. I bought a Jupiter Jack (a wonderful gizmo!) and I can listen on my car radio. i can only listen when I'm alone and if I drive 30 minutes or more. John lives about an hour from me, so I get a lot of time to listen to books!

I'm a music girl myself, so I always have a couple books of cds in the car... The new layout is interesting!
The pumpkin is awesome! A couple of years ago I bought a couple fake pumpkins (yeah, I know) — I carved Jerry Garcia into one of them and Frank Zappa into the other. Most of the kids have no idea who they are when they show up, but, ah...

Kewpie dolls? Interesting : ) I've never been organized enough to collect any one specific thing (except maybe Barbies). Yes, even though I'm an adult I usually still wander down the Barbie aisle at the store. Who wants to grow up, pfft.
