Random Tuesday....And a little bit of that!!

To enjoy the beautiful sunshine...I have lashed myself to the tree out front and put on sunscreen.  With winds howling at 50 to 60 MPH, I could end up in Sante Fe!  Ha!!!!  Seriously....the sun has been wonderful but the winds are strong and cold!!  Sheesh!  Spring has definitely come in like a lion...a rabid lion!!!!!

I decorated my mantle for Memorial Day!!  What do you think??

Also did the tree!!

And the entry gates to our property...

And, last but not least...a table still life...

Had to play with that last photo...couldn't resist!  Ha!!!

Dr. John is in the finishing stages of his book.  It is due the end of the month...so all his spare time is spent writing and editing.  A finishing frenzy has begun!!  Ha!  Poor guy...he is working so hard.  But this is also a very exciting time!!

Cassie, my granddaughter, is done with college for the semester and is back home in Gallup.  She has a job and will be working all summer.  I will miss her.  No more mani and pedi's together until September!  Sigh!!  One good thing though...my sessions will be cheaper!!  Ha!!

I am finally able to start back walking this week.  The winds seem to be a peace in the early mornings...so I will give it a go.  Yippee!!

Paul is in his final stages of liver failure.  Cheri has decided to try and keep him home and care for him there.  She and I and a few others will be his caregivers during his final days.  'Tis hard to watch as his body struggles to stay alive.  I do ask that you would send prayers and positive thoughts.  Thanks so much!
Neighbors have rallied to support Paul and Cheri as well as friends and family.  What a blessing.

That's a lot of decorating!

Blessings of love to the couple whose photo you shared. May God give her strength to care for her husband and enough love to let him go for now.

Your Memorial Day decorations are really nice, I especially like the ones on the gates. You amaze me with all the work you do decorating for each holiday. I am so slow at things I would not be finished with one theme in time and then it would be time to change for the next one, Ha.

I like the decor--and it's good until Fourth of July. I wish I was organized enough to decorate more, but find that I just can't keep up.

I'm happy for Dr. John, I hope he is not too frustrated; I get weird at the end of a writing project.

Good for your grandbaby to be home from school. I have another week to go.

I'm glad Cheri is taking Paul home, and that you and others closed to him will help with his care. My mom has been in and out of the hospital for nearly a month (in now) and home is the best place for a sick person.

Paul and you all are in my prayers. A candle burns for him too.

love the still life on the cake plate.

Caring for the dying is easier than caring for someone who is just sick. When I was helping my sister care for her husband while he died I was surprised at how calm and serene I felt.

Your creative juices are in are full force, I'd never get stuff in time, lots of good ideas, forget to plan the time to do it. My best to your friends, a tough row to hoe.

You always have the best seasonal decorations! When I grow up, I wanna be just like you! ;)

LOVE your still life art!

I will definitely be keeping Paul and Cheri in my thoughts and prayers.

Stay grounded - get it? With all that wind? ;)

Thanks for rockin' the random rebellion with me! :)

Love your mantel. You are waaay more inspired than I am. I most likely won't even decorate for the July 4th.

Oh sweetie, I am awed at your beautiful tribute, you have so much talent - but I am even more humbled at your capacity to still remember others even whilst caring for a loved one within your family circle, in such a dire circumstance. My thoughts go out to all of you. (x)
