Work in Progress ~ Week Two!!~Feb.

Here is the beginnings of my newest canvas.  The canvas size is 48" x 60"!!  I begin by color blocking out sections.

I tried some material and liked it!

After attaching the material with acrylic medium..matte I tried a piece of burlap on the other side.  It didn't worked and I chose to block in some more color instead.  These are all just beginning phases.

Here are the products I used so far...color wise that is!

When I started this piece, I was thinking of and looking at my sunrise pics that I had altered.

Not the colors...Ha!  But the structure of the piece.  Though I may add some of those luscious reds by means of beads!!

So the hardest part of doing a collage has been done.  STARTING with a blank canvas!!  Ha!!  Hope you enjoyed the journey.  More to follow next Thursday!!

Have a blessed and magical day!
Hugging you
SueAnn

that's what my drawing teacher said, making that first line was the hardest.

The beginning, wonderful, love the large sizes of your work as well. Watching for what comes next, like reading a book or waiting for the next segment of the serial film at the old Saturday movies.

Yes I enjoyed the journey! This is nice but the blank canvas is not easy
