Blast from the past

One of my collages..
Now hanging in Dr. John's new office.  Open hose happening April 19th.  You're all invited!1

I"be been thinking..I know...Ha...shouldn't do that....but I digress...thinking.....when you have a long term illness..people in your life slip away!  They tire of hearing of your difficulties.  Of your pain and struggles.

Friends disappear!1

A long term illness becomes very isolating...it"s lonely.

Am I complaining?  No!  Just stating an observation..and wanting to say that I understand.  I get tired of saying " I hurt" or " I don"t feel well".  It"s boring as hell!

Now as to my latest boring news...arthritis is ravaging all of my joints! Especially now my right hip...SIGH11. So physical therapy will continue to try to save it and keep from having to replace it.  Here"s hoping.

On a new note..I will be flying to Columbus, Ohio and then driving to Lancaster, Ohio to visit with my dear mom.  She is having hip replacement surgery April 19th..I will stay till May 1st.  Boy are we two peas of a pod.  I can see it now!  Two pimped out wheel chairs!1..HaHa!

My granddaughter, Georgia is traveling with me...that will be nice...she has never been to Lancaster and this will be only the 4th time she has been with her great grandmother!  So that is nice and she will be of great help to both of us.

.

Sigh

Oh well...Georgia is topsy turvy about the trip..Ha!

May you all have a fabulous day1
Blessings to all

Hugs

SueAnn, Granddaughter Emma, her Hubby Rami, Great Grandson Angel, my son Lee, Great Grandson Santos

Greatgrandson Angel finding those eggs

What a wonderful weekend with family..celebrating Easter.  And I have to say..I outdid myself with Easter dinner.  Baked Ham with all the bells and whistles...including upside-down pineapple cake...fabulous!!!  Fun had by all.  I even hid the baskets all throughout the house...haha.  Got them all going.

Hope you all had a fabulous celebration with family and friends..enjoying this Holy of Holiest weekends...as we remember the sacrifice and resurrection of our Lord..amazing!!!

Pain levels were tolerable this past week and therapy was successful.  Can't ask for more than that.

Hope to start water therapy soon and that should bring much more mobility to this poor achy body.

Started three fiber wall sculptures...tada!!!! This is a first in about two years.  For Dr. John's new office.  He moved in about three months ago and it is sparse to say the lease.  I will be posting pics of the upcoming open house.  About three weeks from now!!  Wow....!!!  Do we have some work to do.

Hope my body holds up??!!

Be well my dear friends!

Blessings and Good wishes...

Hugs and Keep moving forward

Blessings and Surprises

Great Grandsons...Angel and Santos

Aren't they precious?  Of course, I am a bit prejudice...ha!
Angel is just shy of two years and Santos is one month old.  I am still amazed that I am a
great grandmother.  Wow!

These past two weeks have been a continued struggle for me.  The knee has improved, which is
terrific...the hips are still questionable and I am in therapy for both the right knee and hips.
We shall see.

The new item to rear it's ugly head is bronchitis/asthma!  It's like walking down a hallway...tripping and falling into a puddle of water...someone holding your head down into the water...you can't breath...your struggle and struggle.  You are able to gulp some air here and there...but they keep pushing your head down.  this struggle continues day after day after day...medicine is little relief.  You have to rest in a sitting position.  It is awful and scary and all you can do it wait it out and hope they finally let you up to breath.  I can breath now!!!  What a relief...now I am dealing with the bronchitis!!  Sigh!!!

I am doing my best to prepare for Easter and my granchildren to fill my house.  Eggs to be hidden and baskets to be filled...not to mention the feast that will ensue!!  Ahhh yes!!!  Ham baking in the oven and upside down pineapple cake..yummy!!

The weather here in Las Cruces,  New Mexico has been awesome!!!  80 degrees and sunny....perfect blue skies and we love it...my swimming pool fund is growing by leaps and bounds!!  Yes I can feel that blue water now!

Have and fabulous and blessed day

Hugging you

Doesn't look real does it?  It isn't snow!  The above picture is white sand......acres and acres of white sand.  All the bushes look as if God came by and sugared each and every bush and shrub.  I spent the afternoon at White Sands National Park just north of Las Cruses, New Mexico.  What a spectacular sight.

Sights and sounds.....sounds....in the distance I can hear that haunting sound.....
It resonates through the night.....the evening train making it's way....it's way into the night...into the night...into the night...........unseen!

I can feel it's presence....cold and searching...grabbing at my heels....waiting to sap my strength...
steal my joy...my very existence....my day!   PAIN!!!
Oh how to release it's grip....it's power....it's icy cold tendrils from my soul??  Suffocating!!

NO!!   Go within,...return to the place familiar....welcoming to my mind....my place of dreams and ideas...future projects and creations.

Some exciting plans...they really are afoot!!  I tremble.....tendrils begone...you have no hold over me.  We play a waiting game, you and I.  Like a strange and seductive dance...well I shall play no more...the music has changed and I follow a different tune...a melody more soothing to my soul...healing and powerful...defying the very effects of gravity itself!!!

Above it all....I dare to step forward !!!

                                        Move dear ones...
                bend....stretch...swim....baby steps!

May His blessings pour forth on your lives,
Hugging you all

Happy Valentines Day to one and al!

Shall we start at a beginning??

My newest great grandson Santos!!!  All 7 Lbs  of him.  Adorable, yes?

And Angel...big brother...constant guardian and my first great grandson...equally adorable.

These are the beginning for our families...for their lives..for the world!!  Amazing to think of!  Wow!!

Then there the are middles...I have definitely passed that period of productivity/middle earth as I've come to think of it. Traveling with Bilbo.

But I am now dealing with the dragons...fire breathing...talons sharpened and soaring into the sky....  the fun begins......
                                     do I roll over?
                                                            Do I cry UNCLE?

There are so many issues I am having to deal with....I am exhausted...disjointed...giving up seems like such a pleasant thing to do.  Some would say a selfish thing to do.....those who walk here know better.

But I chose to pick up sword and shield...don the helmet (Google) and fight these many issues..I plan to come out on top.  Stronger and better........able to share with others!!

There is a path..a way..I will find it!!

Have a super  fantastic day...
Pick up that banner of healing.
We will ride together.

Rising up in the distance........three doors
                                                        choose one.....
                                          one very ornate
                                               one steel..kind of steampunk
                                                                     one made of pure gold!!!

Being a steampunk kind of girl, chose the appropriate door...one that she thought heralded change.

Woohoo!  Was it change...highs and lows..she threw everything she had at it!
                                 All of her time...
                                    All of her money....
All of some money she didn't have....
All of money she could borrow......
Her love..her friendships...her health....her location in time and space!!!
                                                            She totally transformed into...?
Well we are not sure...
All of these things are still molding and chiseling her mind and soul....still incising their marks.

Note:   There is a rising star.....a ray of light for blood soaked weary eyes,,,,,

Two great grandsons...Angel holding new little brother Santos.....

Have a blessed and light filled day

And so it begins......

opened the first door I saw.....

well of course I thought about it...for two years....seemed a wonderful thing to do
so with a great deal of enthusiasm....I flung them open!!!!
heavier than I thought they would be.....

                                                       UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boxes strewn upon the floor....dreams and dollars as before.....
                               promises broken............knuckles scrapped.....temperatures rising
                                                                no escape!!!!!!!!!

Out of boxes...bills galore....no rest for the weary...travel some more!
                                     Water running through the cracks+++++

Friends remembered on the page...stopping to share my cup of rage......
Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall!!!

And through it all.....there is the page...the wooden cross....and the possible stage!!!

More later!

Have a very gracious and blessed day

Here we are again....a second!!  Wow!  I am coming to you, live from Homewood Suites in
Albuquerque, NM.

We finally sold our house in the mountains and here we are....homeless.  I have to say it is a strange feeling.  No home to look forward too..that familiar bed....those smells...the creak in the floor....very odd for sure.

All of our personal possessions are at Johnson's Moving and Storage in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  And they will remain there until we close on our new home in Las Cruces, New Mexico. That is really weird too.  We hope to close around September 15th.

I will share pics of the, hopefully, new place soon.  We plan in traveling to Las Cruces around August 31st.  Staying at the El Canto and I personally will indulge in several martinis and margaritas.  Ha!
Our bartender, Saavy, takes good care of us and he makes one means Mojito!!

We will stay there until the papers are signed.  It can't come soon enough!!!

Dr. John is hard at work everyday...he has hardly missed a beat since all of this started back in March of this year.  That's because I am awesome and able to handle this move by myself pretty much.  Just kidding!!!  We worked our asses off...new floors...new granite counter tops...and sink....walls painted. Whew!!  Not to mention the landscaping....etc., etc., etc.

Then the nightmares began....we were set to close on August 15th...and then our septic failed inspection and we needed to replace the whole system...$4200.00.  Of course, the roof needed maintenance to the tune of $1400.00...the freezer began to act up....$80.00; the hot tub motor went out...$180.00...the kitchen sink faucet began to leak....$250.00.  Note*** This was the new faucet!!
We were bleeding money....so much for large profit on our house sale.  At least we did have the money coming from the sale so that was good.  Whew!!

I know...sorry...I am whining....lol!  So, everything was coming against our closing on August 15th.  Talk about nerve wracking...!!! But close we did; thanks to the help of Pete at ReMax and Rio
Grande Septic and Ross Plumbing and many, many more!  A special thanks to Alice and Butch and Cheri and my son, Lee Sr., and grandkids Lee jr., and Georgia and Mike and Kathy too!!!

And now, here we are, Homewood Suites...in our one bedroom suite.  It is great....one large bedroom, big bath, full kitchen and living room.. They offer a full breakfast seven days a week and dinner, Monday through Thursday.  Fabulous!!  Laundry and maid service daily...what more can one ask for?

Have I told you I am a great grandma??  Ha!

mom,is emma and dad,is rami

Have a fabulous and blessed day,

Random Tuesday ~ Wow! Has it been that long?

Stacy

It has been so long since I have shared a single post...let alone a Random!!  Wow!  Where do I begin?

Let's see....August came and went so quickly...grandkids were still populating our house and keeping me busy night and day!!

September, the beginning of fall and the New Mexico State Fair....I took Emma, 20  years old, and Cassie, 21 years old.  Emma had never been to the State Fair and was so excited to go.  She wanted to "ride the rides"!

As part of the experience, Emma got her face painted....HA!  I think the artist got carried away...all down her chest...can we say PERVERT!!!  Ewww!  But it was funny.

Dr. John went to Illinois and hung out with his family.  Brother Bob, Mom, who is 94 and still riding her bike every day, and his niece, Jennifer.  Jennifer took Dr. John to see the St. Louis Cardinals...he loved it!!

The brother, Bob and Jennifer took him out for a wild game of pool.....oh dear....Jennifer was totally amused by Dr. John's attempts.  Ha!!

I will tell you what...blogger is totally driving me crazy...it won't let me re-size my photos...I have to know some code to do it manually!!!  And then it gets them wrong too!!  Help!!  I need something else here.....ack!!!

Fire surrounded our state this year....here are some pics of the fire in the clouds!!

Inquiring minds want to know...yes they finally figured out that my right wrist was broken!!  Sheesh!  I told them I was in pain...guess they thought I was a whiner!!  SOB's  Anywho...typing is difficult and I am currently doing physical therapy.  I lost my primary doctor...she retired...waaaaaa...so I have been searching.  Yikes! Choices are slim...and I have yet to be impressed!

I will close for now...pain rulz!!!!!  Stop by Stacy's and check out the journey's of other Randomizers!!!  See Stacy Uncorked to join in too......lots of fun!!

Have a magical and a pain-free day!!

Hugging you
