Random Tuesday....It's Spring Now

Well kiddies!  It is that time again when I get all random.  I can hardly think clearly today; what with the wind blowing so fiercely and the fact that it is 4AM!!!  And today is the day I take the fiber piece to the attorney's office to see if they like the direction I wish to go!  To say I am nervous is an understatement.

So my granddaughter, Emma, text-ed me over the weekend.  She wanted me to help her with her new prom dress.  Seems it is a little snug in the bodice area and she wanted to know if I could alter it for her.  I text-ed her back and said, "No problem!"

The next day she texts with the message, " Never mind!  I have chosen another dress!"  I'm like, "What?"  Because I was all excited to get a chance to see the girls and work on this dress.

Anyway it all got canceled and I won't have the opportunity to hugs and kiss on them this weekend.  Yes!  I am disappointed.  But I understand her dilemma.  My altering the dress was an unknown and she is 16...enough said!!

I was going to show you a pic of the dress and the girls...but my connection to my phone won't work this morning.  Of course!!!    So the prom dress I am showing is close to what it looked like.  Isn't it beautiful?

Spring has arrived here in New Mexico and that means two things.  Bright sunshine and wind!!  I mean bright...blinding with the bluest skies.  I love it!  And wind....40 to 60 MPH!!!  That I don't like.  But it is finally here and I am excited.  Even though everything I had outside is now in Santa Fe!!

After I deliver this fiber piece and hopefully get the job, I need to do one task that I have been putting off for weeks.  Income tax!!!!  Sigh!!  It will take me a minimum of two days to get through all my paper work.  Every year I am going to be better organized and I start out always with good intentions.  Then time passes and I get lazy and now I have piles to sort and computer files to copy and forms to fill out and, and, and......scream!!!!!!!!!  Anyone else wait till the last minute?

Well this is about as random as it gets.  Hope you all have a fabulous week.  I am sure I will talk to you again before this week is over.  Until then....

Have a magical and blessed day!
Hugging you
SueAnn

Buy yourself a kite.

No, seriously. Make that wind work for you and bring you some joy. Nothing in the world like winning dominion over the wind by sending a kite up up up. flying as high as the eye can see. Plus you'll look oh-so-cute running around in your new spring outfit.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the prom dresses. They remind me of Cinderella's gown. My daughter always went for the slinky dresses, but I'm all about the tulle!

Hey SueAnn, I have a proposition for you. Why don't you and I do a little service trade. I'll send a semi tractor trailer of clothes I've outgrown and in exchange for you taking them in, I'll have Larry agree to do your taxes for the rest of his natural born life. Alterations are EXPENSIVE!So is tax preparation.

You know, I took a skirt in to a little Chinese lady to be altered and spent more money on the two seams than I did on the whole skirt. She did a beautiful job, but I can't afford her prices. The saddest part of all is that I have a brand new sewing machine and don't know how to use it. I"m hopeless. HELLLLLLLP!

Good luck with your client. I know he's going to love your prototype. Who wouldn't? It's gorgeous!

Love you SueAnne!

Good luck at the attorney's office - hopefully they do like the direction you wish to go! :)

LOVE the prom dresses! I'm looking forward to when Princess Nagger gets old enough for prom...wait, what am I saying? I'm still looking for the 'pause' button!! :)

We always wait until the last minute, too. Thanks for reminding me I need to gather all our stuff together for the tax lady! :)

We, or should I say he, always waits til the last minute to do our taxes. Drives me nuts.

The dress is pretty but that skirt would be way too much for me. How does it get through the door?

Happy to hear spring has made it to you.

And of course your client will love the prototype.

good luck with your venture! just because you won't be altering the dress doesn't mean you shouldn't go visit and plant some hugs and kisses on those beautiful granddaughters!

Look at those pretty flowers. I'm jealous. We lost a lot of our landscaping this past winter.

Happy Random!

Yes, it is probably best that Emma finds a dress that fits. You don't want to be caught between a teenager and the most important dress of her life! Wind? I completely understand. My house is on a bluff and we get wind, sometimes strong. I need to sit out on the porch on THE OTHER SIDE of the house where the view is not so riviting just to be comfortable. Well, except for the 10 days a year when it's warm and still. :)

Oh my, those dresses are exquisite! Reminds me of the dress I tried to get my daughter to try on when we were wedding gown shopping - she wouldn't even give it a second glance, but I thought it lovely.

I always do my taxes early in February, and this year, it's all already spent! Good luck with yours!

Well, we waited til the last minute..but since I own my own business the last minute for that was January...and while he did that he just did our personal taxes, too, since they were mostly done. But..it was kind of the last minute!

Good luck with the job!!!
