Random Tuesday....Now the rains come!!

Just when I need warm breezy days...I get the dark clouds and rain!  Sigh!  I am going to have a hard time getting this paper dry.  And that could be a problem!  Here's to hoping that today brings the sun.  The above picture is one we took last night.  Sunset!

So I am supposed to be exercising every day!  I know!  I know!!  And last week I did it two days...woohoo!!  Two whole days!!  And this week so far...zero.  Well it is only Tuesday so today I will do better.  I on a plateau right now and this is the only way I am going to break it.  I just hate to exercise.  I mean, I really hate to do it.

Yesterday I organized my sewing area so that I would have plenty of room to work on the fiber piece.  And that is all I got done too!  I did want to make the fabric tubes...but ran out of time.  Today is a new day.  Do we see a theme here?  Everything is starting today!!  Wow!  I am tired already!

The machine in front is an embellishing machine.  I love it!!  I can get many layers of material (whether it be paper, thin metals or fabric) to fuse together.  It uses felting needles (five of them) to force the fibers into one another.  So each layer is connected to the next.

Here you can see a strip I did on the prototype.  It has six layers of fabric all joined together.  There is silk, cotton, wool, organza, and a couple of upholstering fabrics.  Isn't it the coolest ever?

One thing with Gastric Bypass...you have to take your vitamins every day.  Especially, B-12!!  I had been forgetting to take that one.  All of a sudden, the top of my left foot started burning and anything touching it would send hot pokers of pain up my leg.  I was like WTH??   After some research, we discovered that if you are depleted of B-12 you can develop Neuropathy.  Which is nerve damage!  Yikes!  I definitely don't want that!  So I took my B-12 and in three days, the pain went away!!  Coolness!  I will be a good girl from now on.  No missing my vitamins.

So, I have lost 135 lbs.!!!  And my body is shrinking!  Which has been the perfect excuse to shop.  I need clothes!  The biggest problem I have is keeping up with the new bra sizes!  (Sorry guys)  I have had to order new bras four times now!!  And you know girls, it is always a pain in the a$$ to find the right fit in a bra.  It has been interesting to say the least.  But clothes shopping has been a blast and I love my new outfits.  I feel fantastic!!

Picture from Wikipedia...shopping in downtown Toronto in 1937!!  Check out the outfits??!!

Well I am sure this is enough Randomness for today.  Make sure and stop by Keeley's at UnMom to see some other RTT blogs!!

Have a blessed and magical rain-free day!
For that is my prayer too!
Hugging you
SueAnn

135 pounds! Congratulations!!!!

Even though I haven't had gastric bypass and have, in fact, been on a gaining spree, my B-12 levels dropped, too, and the resulting nerve damage is in my voice and right hand. Gets better or completely goes away after weekly B-12 injections, but comes back before the next one.

By the way, I'm another who hates exercise - even when my weight was WAY down, I had to force myself even to walk around the neighborhood. I wish I could be one of those people who revel in exercise.

Your embellishing machine is fantastic; I've never seen one.

Hope sunny days are in your very near future!

So when do we get to see photos of your skinny gorgeousness? Not that I don't just salivate over your art work, but since you have ALSO been working so hard on your bod, I wanna see that too.

Keeping up with the shrinking business is tough. You go through so many clothes! But better to go down sizes than up, right?

Glad you cured the B-12 problem. My brother has been dealing with gout which is very very painful. The symptoms sound similar. Glad yours was an easy cure.

Love ya SueAnn!

Hello Ms. SueAnn,

Gosh, I just love hearing about your weight loss and the shopping adventures. It is inspiring for me anyway.

Your embellishing machine sounds very interesting indeed. Maybe it could work with some of my paper stuff. hmmm . . . .

Be gentle with yourself. Sometimes we just need a little break and that's okay. You're doing great so put down the guilt stick you are beating yourself over the head with and enjoy doing nothing for a spell. You deserve it. (tee hee :)

Hugs! =D

WooHoo! 135 lbs is awesome! I hate bra shopping, but I really need to go do that. I also hate exercising, but I really need to do that, too. :)

I LOVE your embellishing machine! I might need to get one. But first I need to organize my craft room so I can set up my sewing machine and my embroidery machine that are patiently waiting in their boxes...for way too long, now. Want to come help organize? I might need all the help I can get. ;)

I despise exercising for exercising's sake. That's why I still play fast-pitch softball at my somewhat advanced age. It's the only form of exercise I enjoy.

But, woo-hoo! You've lost 135 pounds? Congratulations of immense proportions! That's quite a feat. You should be proud.

You're first on Keely's comments so had to say hi. Hi! Congrats on the weight loss! And you're right today is a new day. The 20th of any month is actually a GREAT day to start new things. I've got a few things to attend to too. Have a good one!

I've started taking magnesium every day. It is essential to absorb calcium and I have been diagnosed with osteoporosis and osteopenia (different areas). I refuse to take the recommended med (lots of reasons). I rely on weight bearing exercise mostly. On again, off again on calcium supplements cause I can't swallow the pills and the liquid is hard to find. Anyway, I have suffered from some serious leg cramps which regular exercise helps with but being the bad girl that I am, haven't been doing that the last several months. But I haven't had any problems with cramps since I started taking the magnesium.

Wow! 135... That is an accomplishment that should fill you with pride. Keep it up. Exercise is like a four letter word, but keep going.

Love the sunset pic. Hope you dry out soon.

Happy Random!

135 lbs is amazing. I bet you feel great. Good for you. The thing about exercise is that you have to find something you enjoy and it will become an addiction. You feel so great when you're done that you can't wait to do it again.

I love the picture of the women shopping. I mean, who doesn't wear shorts, a blazer and heals when they really want to find some bargains?

OMG, there are so many interesting subjects in this post and I don't know where to start. I too hate to exercise. Some people love it, and I could never ever understand that. But I made a commitment to myself and I have exercised every day for over two months now, missing two days only. I don't know if it is helping I just figure I will know something good in the long run. Even if it just better circulation. The paragraph on B-12 blew me away. I have the burning and stinging on my feet and I talked to the doctor a month ago and said I think I have B-12 deficiency and she said just get some multi vits, so that is what I take but now I am going to listen to my gut and get some B-12.
Losing that much weight is so unbelievable to me. I just started this week cutting back on portions and now I will weigh once a week too. You are an inspiration to me.

Awesome that you dropped so many lbs, though not so good that you keep forgetting your pills. Take care of yourself!

And awesome picture of the rain!!!

135 lbs is incredible! good for you! I know what you mean about exercise too, I don't particularly like it...did you try some yoga for toning, and relaxation?
don't give up though, even if you don't do it for a few days, just start again. Each day you got a fresh start.

You must be having a blast shopping though, that's the best part of weight loss :-)

love that pic from Toronto, those are some wicked outfits! I'd love to wear something like that...in my dreams, haha!!

wow! 135 pounds is just amazing! Congrats on the loss. Bras are expensive! I hate to spend money on them but could use some new ones myself.
As for exercise.....I consider it a dirty word! I hate hate hate it too! I have to say though, I started walking with a friend 3 to 4 times a week about 6 weeks ago and it's the first thing I've done that I (almost) like. We don't even really push ourselves hard and I can REALLY feel the difference in how I feel. Prior to that, I had pretty good luck with Curves. If you don't have anyone to walk with, load up your MP3 player with good tunes. And.....walking is FREE! I am fortunate, I have to admit, to have a gorgeous park complete with walking trails right behind my house.
