randomtuesday

Well brothers and sisters; boys and girls.....it's Tuesday and you know what that means!!!  RANDOMIZING TIME!!!!!!!  Woot!!  Woot!!  Let's get rolling....

Let us start off with a sunrise picture from the front of my house...so we are facing west and the effect it had on the clouds was amazing.....

Remember a couple of weeks ago, I spoke of moving my living room around??  Took me forever to move the couch...couldn't find my furniture sliders so I did it the old fashioned way....brute strength!!!  Ha!!  Here are some pics...sorry for the clutter...still a work in progress!!!

hallway leads to bedrooms and office

library view...doorway leads to studio

fireplace view

Oh you can see the Mardi Gras tree here as well.  I have been working on the mantel.....

before...

after.....

I kept the material from previous mantel decor and just added the mask and the moss balls and flowers!!  Right after I took these shots; the mask fell off and broke into many, many pieces.  Took me 1/2 the day to put it back together again.  Kinda looks cool...more tragic!!

Guess this is my house day...randomly of course!  There is a mantel of sorts under my television....

And I have a small, fun-type still life in my kitchen!

It's my Kool Aid Man!!!  And a fake spilled orange juice!  Ha!  Dr. John received the wine as a gift from Paul and Cheri for his birthday.  Isn't it beautiful?  Haven't opened it yet though.

Time for another sunrise....

Got some cool furniture pieces from Crate and Barrel the other day.  Two bar stools and a sofa table.  All in that coffee bean finish.  I just love them; but putting them together...not so much!!  What a beyotch!!!  Supposed to be easy peasy!  Ha!  Directions were printed on one page for the stools so I figured no problem.   Wellllllll....little did I know that I had to become a structural engineer to assemble these puppies.  Finally had to wait for Dr. John to assist.  We got 'er done but whew!!!  What a pain!  Well, we got one together!  Ha!  I will take pics next week when we hopefully assemble the other pieces!!!!!????!!!!

My friend Cheri has foot surgery and all I can say is OUCH!!!  Poor thing is hobbling around with a walker and a boot!!  Anyway...I made stuffed peppers for dinner to take over and we ate with them.  Boy did they turn out good.  Cheri and I cracked open the Mojito bottle and had a good ole time.  Ha!!

She is doing much better now...but still in the boot!!  Mojito's and Martini's helped!!!

I see the plastic surgeon on March 22nd to see if I can get a better price on surgery.  One can only try!  Right?  I know...I know....sounds pretty extreme to be considering plastic surgery but I have lost 170 lbs. so I have a lot of excess skin that needs to go away!!!!  I will probably lose 25 lbs. just having the surgery!!!!!!  So anyway, I see him and will be discussing price and/or adding the neck to the mix.  Turkey neck is an understatement!!  Will keep you all posted!!

I visited with Christine and we talked of doing a new large painting for her office.  She is definitely interested...so...Woot!!  Woot!!  I will begin this new piece soon!  I have some sketches I have been working on and the canvas is primed and ready.  Just have to finish state taxes and I will be good to go!!!!

Well, I have taken up more than enough of your time with my rambling randomizing!!  Make sure you visit Keely at The UnMom and see what she is up too!  One never knows with Keely...could be the end of the world as we know it...she would know.  She promised to warn me ahead of time.  So I am off to check her out now!

Have a magical and blessed day!!
Hugging you
SueAnn

Wow! You moved a lot of furniture! Congrats on the 170 pounds. Amazing! I can totally understand the need to get rid of the extra skin! Happy Tuesday!

oh, your house looks so comfy!

I think you should definitely price shop for the plastic surgeon. (why do they call them 'plastic' surgeons?) I bet if we all price shopped for our doctors like we do everything else, they wouldn't charge such outrageous fees.

Happy RTT!

I love your random Tuesdays. hopefully you find a reasonable plastic surgeon. I know here if you have the gastric Bypass, after you lose your weight they will remove the excess skin around the stomach...that is what I have heard. Take care my friend. big hugs.

From the bottom of your blog I thought the butterflies were something you clicked on to rate the post!! Moving furniture is definitely a sign of spring.

Those sunrise photos are amazing. Such a dramatic effect. That's too bad about the mask but you sure seem to have been able to resurrect it. Your weight loss success is amazing, Sue. Big congrats to you!

Just a little rearranging can make a whole lot of difference. Hope you can work out something with a good surgeon.

Happy Random!

I enjoyed the trip round your house. Loved everything except the animal skeleton. That would have to go!
Thank you for allowing us to tour with you. I like your random photos.

I love the changes and that little bookshelf by the TV has inspire me to do something like that for my TBR pile, but I'll probably put it by my bed (not a lot of space in NYC). I also love the colors around your house! and as always I'm jealous of your tree and your mantel lol

Every time I read you lost 170lbs I go "WOW!" My mom is trying to about 60, but it is difficult for her: she really loves her Dominican treats. I might have to ask you for some pointers to see how I can help her through the process.

Many hugs my dear!
