This is the view I see as I start out on my 4 mile walk at 6AM!! Well, it is the view I used to see!? Now it is dark when I leave. What is up with that??
See! I have to wear reflective clothing now. Or, if we ever see any cars, I will be run down like a dog!!! Plus it is chilly at that time of the morning too! I mean, seriously...is fall trying to come in or what?
So I have a really cute iPod in pink and I love it. Especially when I have to walk alone. Me and Lady Gaga can stride out to the tunes. I needed to charge my cutie pie up and I couldn't find the cord!! I looked everywhere!! I last used it next to my computer and do you think it is there....noooooooooooooo! High and lo I peered to no avail. Ended up getting one on eBay along with a car charger and a regular charger. All for $11.95!! Now is that cool or what. I figured as soon as I got it, I would find my old one. Got it yesterday and no old one showed up. I swear, someone ate it??!!
Ain't she cute? |
I have all this summer reading I was going to do and did I? Noooo!!! Started one book, "The Shadow of your Smile" by Mary Higgins Clark and only have gotten through the first chapter. Intentions were good! Read and lay out in the sun....that was the plan. Just been too busy...especially with the fiber sculpture. Which is a very good thing! So....maybe this fall???
Good book so far...!! |
Weight wise I am still slowly losing some more pounds. And I do mean S..L..O..W..L..Y!! I have lost 152 pounds so far! Which is a good thing. But....I wanted to have lost 170 pounds before my trip. Sniff!!!!
Yes!! My trip! I am so excited. We are leaving on September 2nd and be gone for three weeks!! How cool is that?!!! It is a road trip. Illinois to see Dr. John's brother Bob and SIL Karen and his mother. Indiana to see my brother, Jack and his wife Linda. Ohio to pick up my mom (taking her on the rest of the journey with us). And visit my brother, Mark and his wife Patti. Must visit the Hartville Kitchen, an Amish Restaurant....yuummmmmy! Then on to Kentucky to visit an online friend, Diane. South Carolina to visit my brother Gary and his wife Chris. Georgia to visit Dr. John's brother Gary and his partner Joanna. Alabama to visit my sculpture professor, Carl Floyd and his wife. Hopefully at least one day in New Orleans and some time on the beach in Mobile. Then back home, with mom in tow and she will stay with us for at least 10 days we hope. Whew! How's that for a trip? I have hired a couple to stay and watch our house so that is cool. They will take care of our plants and such. No animals here, so they have it easy. So I will be posting my travel diary as we wind our way through the states. It should be fun!!
Highlander...my car!! |

Have a magical and blessed day.
Hugging you

Cheers SueAnn,
Congratulations on the weight loss! I had no idea and I am so proud of your progress! I have a few unwanted pounds (more than I care to share!) and I just can't leave the chocolate alone!!
Blessings,
Cindy

SueAnn, I had no idea you had lost so much weight! That is incredible. Good for you!
And love that car.
Congrats on the weight loss! That's AWESOME! I think you should be pretty darn proud!
Have fun on your road trip!
You wouldn't be passing through the Houston area now would you?
woot woot on your walking!!
It's great that you are walking. A 152 pounds is nothing to sneeze at. You should be proud. Good luck on your trip.
You are an inspiration!
i so love your random.
Can't wait until your trip posts.
and the dark mornings makes me sad. The summers are always too short.
I'm such a sucker for a shot of a dawn/dusk sky.
nice pix, nice post.
That really is an early start. Not sure I'd be ready for it.
Lovely skies then.........
Its always the way when you lose something like that. I like to know where things get to. Very frustrating but glad you got a replacement so cheaply.

Congrats on that weight loss. Maybe I'll be seeing you on TV some day. You must be ready to burst your buttons in pride...well, I guess that isn't the correct analogy for this!
4 miles??!! Seriously? Wow, you're really determined to keep that weight off!
I lost a lot of weight a while back, but never could get into walking, so a lot of it has come back. Tell me, do you enjoy your walks? I guess I didn't because I needed knee surgery at the time, and I just found out the cause of my foot pain, which has been YEARS in the making. Maybe if I hadn't had so much pain while I was walking, I would have actually enjoyed it. And kept on losing AND kept it off.
Have a great vacation and take loads of pictures!
Sue,
I truly think you are my inspiration when I read your stories on weight loss.
I have gained weight since I had surgery and have been sedentary, painting doesn't get your body moving. I must get to bed at 9pm and up at 5 like YOU!
I am so proud of you.. keep on keeping on.
hugs, Darlene
Sueann, I love the music on your playlist. I've goten stuck on my music choices, so your have inspired me to open my mind a bit further. Very cool. Your walking and your weight loss are a real inspiration. So glad I came over for a visit. Teresa
Me, again. I meant to mention, that I just moved back home to Minnesota afer living in Santa Fe for over seven years. I worked at an art gallery on Canyon Road. I love your artwork. That, too, is inspiring, Sue Ann.
that's a huge trip you have coming up....talk about living out of your suitcase....well, ummmm, car :)

I love that 2nd photo
the silhouettes are amazing!!
and I think your pink iPod is very sexy, girly, gaga ;)
major kudos on your weight loss
I have been a yo-yo dieter my whole life so I certainly know what an accomplishment it is
thanks for your visit
You have quite an adventure ahead of you! That will be wonderful. Your morning views are gorgeous. I noticed morning has been sleeping in a bit as summer has worn on. Makes it easy for me to sleep in--which is not a good thing all the time!
Beautiful post.
