Random Tuesday....baby it's cold outside!!!

Fall winds are blowing already!!  It has been around mid-40's here in the morning!  Brrrrr!  Makes for a cold, cold walk.  So I wear a flannel coat; ear muffs, and gloves!!  Oh and long pants!!  No more shorts!  Dang!!!  I was working on my leg tan too!  Sheesh!!

Sunrise, September 2010

My walking has progressed to 4.2 miles per day....around 6 days a week.  Sometimes 7 !!  Weight wise, I am on a plateau!  That sucks!  Stuck at 158 lb. weight loss!  Sigh!!

See the white dot in the mid left on the photo?  That is one of the Guinea Hens!!  Just as I was taking it's pic...it moved away!  Figures!!

Took down my 4th of July and Labor Day decorations and am now working on Fall/Halloween!!  I love Halloween!!  Here is my tree!!

See! Not scary at all!  But the rest of my decorations are!!  Ha!  Will show them when I have them all set up!  Hopefully by next week.  Oh!  And you can see our new big screen TV in this pic.   52 inches!!  So sweet !!!

Went to Santa Fe on Friday and it was a beautiful day.  And they were in the midst of a Festival!  How cool is that?  Here are a couple of pics.  I will show more later on in the week.  Too many for today!!

Cathedral on the Square

LaFonda Hotel Restaurant

Indians selling their jewelry

The Cathedral is right on the Square and it is huge!!  And as you can see; beautiful as well.  We ate at LaFonda's restaurant and hardly anyone was in there.  It is usually packed!  But due to the Festival, people were all crammed on the square listening to music and eating from street vendors!!

The Indians' sell their jewelry and pots under the portico of the Governors' Palace.  So they were in their glory during this street fair!! Tons of people walking through the portico oooooing and awwwwing over their fabulous creations!!  We had a blast!!

Well it has been two weeks!!  Count them!   TWO WEEKS!  And instead of this....

We have this....

Our dryer...bless it's heart!!  It is all dismantled and still not working.  They are having trouble getting the right parts!!  So now if they can't jerry-rig a front inside panel, the whole new panel will cost over $250.00!!  I can get a new (although boring) white dryer for around $350.00!!!  Decisions...decisions!  Or do we suck it up and get a whole new pair!!??  Red ones!!!  Oh don't tempt me!!!

We have a locust tree near our front patio wall called Golden Rain.  Right now she looks so beautiful.  Seed pods have formed and when the wind blows...it sounds like rain is falling.  So cool!!

Isn't she gorgeous!!  I am going to harvest some of the seeds and see if I can start some new trees.  Sure would love to have more of these on the property!!

Well, have to go do a load of towels now!  Get to hang them on my back fence!  Sigh!!  Nothing like stiff towels to invigorate you after a nice hot shower!!  They may smell nice but oh are they scratchy!!  Ha!

Don't forget to stop over to The Un Mom and visit with Keely and all the other Randomizers!!

Have a magical and blessed day!!

Hugging you
SueAnn

It is cool in the mornings here too and not going to be warming much into the 60's today either. I still love this time of year though. You are doing so well with your walking. I know all about reaching plateau's with weight loss. Congratulations on all that you've lost so far.

I like your tree too...how fun that you decorate like this. I am sure my little's would love if I did this but I fear they would be climbing the tree and playing with it all. :)

I know how hard it can be to decide whether to fix or just buy a new one. I agree, towels that hang outside smell so fresh but are a bit rough. :)

You are such a tease! It is still so hot here. though I would not find mornings in the 40s to be pleasant.

Our rain tree has not even started blooming yet!

That is so fun you have a fall Christmas tree!

And we have been really having warm temperatures still. It's supposed to be 90 today!

It's that cold already !!
Oh , I don't want to think about it.
But I do want to dine at that restaurant :)

don't be discouraged ... you will get through this lull too.

That you're walking that much is magnificent! Don't focus so much on the number of your weight, but on the accomplishments and on how you feel. If you're feeling better, that's the important thing, and let the numbers be a background thing.

You're the first person I know with a Halloween tree. Are there others? Did you invent it, or did you see it somewhere else? Groovy, in any case!

Sorry, I'm a Canadian and I know not what this "leg tan" of which you speak might be. Is that when they start turning to leather after wearing your snow pants too long or something?

A Halloween tree! I can't begin to imagine what your Labour Day decorations might have been...

I don't think that a plateau is a bad thing at all. It's not weight gain.. it's maintaining. I believe the body has to stabilize sometimes and take a rest from the rigorous deed of weight loss. It won't last forever. You're doing great!

Keep walking and your weight will adjust itself at some point.

It looks like a wonderful place that you visited!

Hugs & love,

First, love the music. Got me my mind working in good creative ways this morning.

Second, I have stood in those same places where you took pictures in Santa Fe. I visited Santa Fe my first and only time about 14 months ago. Thank you for reminding me of such a beautiful place. I took lots of pictures there and some have even shown up in my collage sheets as bits and pieces.

Next, go for the red washer and dryer! I think anything that can make doing laundry more fun is a well deserved expense!

Thank you for visiting me! Keep coming by this week as there are more prizes coming!

Lots of variety in your post. Lovely photos.
Funny about the moor hen!

Congratulations on the weight loss. It does seem to slow up after a while.
You are walking well!

Thanks for stopping by my post, friend. I haven't been much of a blogger this week; school has been crazy.

I enjoyed your post and the visit to a place where the mornings are cool and beautiful--though the dryer is cool and not so beautiful at the moment. I hope it's fixed and done right for you.

Jeepers, you're a busy woman! You cover more ground in a single blog post than I do in a year!

Fall has struck swiftly here in Ontario too. But I'm one of those folks who doesn't mind cooler weather. So sue me. ;)

Oh, what a gorgeous tree and it looks like you have some nice scenery on your walk, too. Un-cooperative Guinea Hens!

A Halloween tree? I like it, both in concept, and execution! We should have trees for all occasions, really. The Tree for Housecleaning Day, all adorned with little mops and dusters, and on and on go the possibilities :-) I bet we'd all smile more if we decorated trees more frequently.

So, I've brought you a link to an epic dryer destruction. For some reason it has a tag on it that will ask if you are over eighteen (?????) I'm assuming because the guy doesn't want any kids emulating the dryer experiment. There's nothing vulgar, or profane...or even vaguely blue...not so much as a "darn" is uttered.
