WIP ~ Fiber Sculpture ~ Day Eight

My helper has been a Godsend!  My granddaughter, Georgia Rose!  Such a blessing she is!  We have been working away and have canvas one almost completed.  Will be building canvas two tonight so we can start on that tomorrow!  All we have to do is put two sections together to make up canvas two!

Here are some pics of Georgia putting fiber fill into the buckrum tubes....

The buckrum tubes are 8 feet long and are quite firm.

Here is the newest tube attached to canvas one...

Also you can now see the handmade paper on the upper portion of the canvas!!!

The next photos show the material I will applying onto the tube.

These next photos show some twigs that will be used on the piece as well as the addition of some red within the handmade paper.  The red that you see in the middle is also handmade paper.  It it made in Thailand and is Kozo fiber paper.

There you have a further update on the fiber piece!  I hope you are enjoying the process.  I must get back to work.  I only have my helper for one more week!!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a magical and blessed week!!
Hugging you
SueAnn

Has your granddaughter helped you previously with your artwork? Lucky you to have such a helper and special time with her.

your art is so diverse, from the tiniest details to the grand scale. textures, colours, mediums. wow.

How fun for you and your granddaughter to get to work together.

And you know, seeing the tubes next to your granddaughter made it click in my head just how big this is. WOW-- Very impressive SueAnn.

Keep having fun together!
