Beautiful perspectives here. It will be interesting to see this come late October. I tried growing pumpkins once and ended up with a green grape-sized squash!

Awesome photographs, SueAnn. Simply awesome!

I had volunteer melons last year, and took a couple of photographs of them, but nowhere as good at yours. And I never got the fruits.

Love the delicious looking veggie, but the spiderweb is the winner. How precious!

I never think of pumpkins at the right time. I forget all about them at planting time and wish I had remembered at harvest time. I remember reading once about a farmer who swore the pumpkins moved and rolled and swished about when they heard him come to water - ever since I think of them as such magical things.

Thank you so much for your kind visit and sharing your experiences. I have shared them all with my son and it makes him feel so much better that other people understand - and you put it so well. Now that he's feeling better he does feel the "shadows" a bit but you brought hope in your visit.

I just realized you are very near Tinkertown! I have been there twice as we used to drive from here in SoCal to my dad's in Missouri every summer and of course drive right by you and Tinkertown ever time. What a magical place you live! The last time we came home from Missouri we changed our route and came down from Santa Fe - I was ready to move somewhere between you and there. Lots of artist type souls to commiserate with!

And lastly, your fiber installation is spectacular! Wow! What a huge powerful piece of perfection! Huge pieces are sometimes overwhelming and off putting. But yours seems warm, inviting and welcoming! Congratulations on such beautiful work!
