Work in Progress ~ Trying it on for size!!

Whenever I start a painting...I usually use several ideas and photos to give me a color source and a general idea of a layout.  The main photo I am using on this piece is....

My main colors will be ( so far ) greens, black and copper!  The following pics are of the piece, upside down.  Here I am trying different elements.

First picture is a fail.  I was trying a green and it had something wrong with the emulsion.  It wouldn't dry and therefore I couldn't manipulate it.  Darn...so the second photo is trying a new element.  This black and white is scrapbooking paper.

The next photo is of the piece with a different piece of scrapbooking paper also in black and white...but a stripped pattern.  The last photo is a teal colored metal sheet.  I love the sheen and the texture.  I will be adding more texture to the metal...probably vertical lines will be etched in.  Should reflect the light amazingly.

Hope you enjoyed the process...I didn't get as far along with this piece as I was battling asthma and having difficulties getting around.  Feeling a bit better now.  It is really messing up my exercise schedule.  And that sucks.

Have a magical and blessed day!
Hugging you

I never know where you're going with these pieces but it's always fun to see where you end up. ;)

I hope you can kick your asthma to the curb soon.

Interesting how you describe your confusions and disturbances. It will be a fantastic result for sure.

This is very interesting. There was I just thinking you could take a brush, paper and paints and off you go.
Shows what I know about painting!
