Wanted to share my Easter still life with you. I just love this bunny. So sweet and the flowers were a gift from Dr. John. He is so sweet!
The glass cloche and the tall glass cake stand where my great finds at Hobby Lobby. Don't you just love them?? I have my felted desserts inside of them.
These are two chairs (out of six) that I painted and recovered in vintage fabric. I love how they turned out. The vintage fabric I waterproofed so they would be durable as dining room chair covers. The wooden chairs themselves came from a shop that imports from Mexico. I got them for a song!! Sanded them and painted them! What do you think? I love how they brighten my dining room. And boy are they comfortable. Here are a couple of close ups!
Hope you enjoyed my Thursday interlude. I just needed to post some spring!! After driving through a blizzard yesterday; I needed it bad! Luckily, the snow didn't stick around. But still....give me spring already!!

As soon as I saw those chairs, I started singing La Cookaracha in my head and then you said the chairs came from a shop that imports from Mexico. Awesome. Come recover my kitchen chairs? As a reward, I'll have Juan our cabana boy serve us Margaritas out by the pool. Hey... you said you wanted to come play. Well... what are you waiting for?

I love the chairs. I used to make that drive a lot back when I was married (the first time) to a guy from there. Or rather, he would drive and I would sleep. You know I've popped in now and then but we have so much in common besides the chicago drive. 60, been married 34 years (#2), been an artist 35 years. How come I haven't followed before now? I have no excuse.
The chairs are so spiffy. I hope that is a word. Anyway, the chairs are colorful, happy, and unique.

Oh how these are so different from something I would do, BUT that's what makes them sooo special! These are fun and make me giddy!! Thanks for opening my woodsy and black stamped world and letting some colour in. :)
